Professional orchid collector and American Orchid Society student judge Guillermo Salazar will help you become a successful orchid grower. Are you tired of buying and killing your orchids? This course will cover the basic principles of growing orchids successfully from buying and watering to potting and fertilizing. Students will leave this short course excited about living in South Florida, which is the perfect tropical environment for growing orchids. The most frequent orchid growing mistakes and how to prevent them will be covered during class. Each student will get a valuable orchid growing guide for the main species of orchids that thrive in South Florida.

Advance registration is required and payment is due with registration. Please plan ahead as walk-ins are not accepted. Fees cannot be transferred or prorated.

Refunds (less a 20% service fee) will be made for cancellations received seven days prior to classes and workshops. No refunds will be given for missed classes. Classes are not interchangeable. Classes may be cancelled if minimum enrollment is not reached.
